Lowenstein Brown, a Professional Law Corporation in San Diego, CA which focuses on family law and alternative dispute resolution, announces that partner Michele Sacks Lowenstein has received “Top Attorney” Designation from the San Diego Daily Transcript for 2009. See the link http://www.sddt.com/microsite/topattorney/winners.cfm

Lowenstein’s designation is in the category of Family Law, and is one of ten awarded each year in this category. This recognition is based on a peer voting process to determine the most well-respected attorneys in the county.

The process is as follows:

1) Nomination notices are emailed to those listed in the San Diego Attorney Directory and are advertised in both the print and online version of the Daily Transcript.

2) Each attorney can nominate another attorney (not him or herself) with whom he or she has had professional experience, offering details in 500 words or less.

3) The Daily Transcript tabulates the responses. The top 25 nominated attorneys in each category are considered semi-finalists. Semi-finalists are then open to a peer voting process, and the top ten ranked attorneys are finalists. The final list, according to the Transcript, represents the “peer-selected best and brightest in San Diego’s legal arena”.

Lowenstein received this designation in 2008, 2006 and 2005 as well.
