Is the business a corporation, a sole proprietorship or a corporation? Do you know the differences between these different entities.
 
1.Have you considered from the standpoint of an economic business decision whether it is in your best interest in the long run to sell or keep the residence.
 
2.Was the business started during marriage or before the marriage?
 
3.What are the businesses accounting practices? Were bookkeeping records generated?
 
4.Do you have copies of the tax returns for the business for all of the years during the marriage?
 
5.Do you have copies of the bookkeeping records for the business for at least the last three years?
 
6.Do you and your spouse work in the business together or is only one of you responsible for managing/operating the business?
